M & M recently finished restoring this beautiful home in New Rochelle, NY.

     

     In addition to the wonderful updates that can be seen with the naked eye,  Martany brought the building up-to-date installing all new electric, doors & windows. Fiberglass insulation was installed on all the floors, except the basement, which is 8" ridged insulation. And,4" character grade wood flooring for all wood floors

     

     At the entryway, a new 3/4 marble slab graces the floor. And two big doors were replaced with one door and 2 side panels allowing light to flow through this home. For the stunning fireplace, the fireplace was reframed & sheet rocked. Nero Marquina Black Marble brings sophistication to this lovely room. 

     

     A wine cave was installed off the living room. The outside walls were insulated & refrigeration installed. Glass & metal were used for the exterior walls into the living area. And, the seating area has a lovely new garden view from a newly installed picture window.

 

     The original kitchen was dated and dark. Windows were added and new insulation installed. All electric wiring and components were updated. New cabinets, appliance, an island, and a Sub-Zero refrigerator were installed in the efficient triangle configuration.

All countertops are a beautiful, durable quartz. And, a welcoming breakfast area and a separate dining area were added. 

The new kitchen is comfortable for the family and flexible enough to entertain a crowd.

 

     ​The new primary suite is far more luxurious than the previous master bedroom. Old carpeting was removed and beautiful wood floors installed. Insulation, new walls & windows were added. It contains special details such as a walk-in closet, an attached luxurious bath, and a balcony overlooking the adjoining woods and brook.
